Damp Summer

My mood hasn’t picked up lately.  With PAGASA just short of proclaiming the start of the rainy season, I can’t help but feel that the summer I wanted is lost.  Our much-planned outing to the Hundred Islands this weekend is up in the air.  Worse, people that aren’t going aren’t making it any easier.

I think my trip to Pundaquit in Zambales last month would be the sole beach outing for the summer.  It’s disappointing because if you were in my shoes, it takes a real vacation to recharge.

Despite having contributed already to the Pangasinan outing, I am still in the financial red.  The last tasty food I enjoyed was at the Tapsilog Station: I Have Two Eggs along Tomas Morato Extension (just outside ABS-CBN).  It was delicious comfort food!

Still short on cash I did not hesitate to use up what remained in my wallet.  I treated my mom, brother, and our family driver to Mister Kabab on Mother’s Day.  I hope they liked it.  I was looking for something special but cheap.

I know this is coming late but I hope all of you had a wonderful time with your mom last Sunday.
