Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Dey and Kris had their last day on Friday. The feeling of them leaving didn’t sink in until I returned to the office that night. I was looking at Dey’s table and her purple Barney doll wasn’t hanging near the light anymore. No more Oprah tapes in the head bin. Her white paper pad with those pencil maps were gone.

For a moment I got teary-eyed. Sabi ko, “Shet, wala na talaga sila.”

As for Kris’ I couldn’t find the plush black tamaraw squeezee on her table. No more ketchup bottles hiding within the company calendar. Zilch!

Why so emo? After what happened to my batchmates Frank and Deanne last October these were the new officemates I became somewhat close with. Now that two of the three of them are gone I suddenly feel anemic.

Review of Greenwich Delivery

I didn’t go home Friday night and decided to rest all Saturday at the condo. Tom and I had our first Greenwich delivery. We’ve done McDo and Jollibee dozens of times (fast food junkies?) but with Greenwich, this was the first.

Tom was amazed with the service. Sosyal daw. The Greenwich people called using their own cellphones to confirm every little detail. In short, iba ang procedures compared to 8-MCDO and that Jollibee number. We confirmed we wanted change for Php 500.00.

Strike one. When the delivery guy came he didn’t have change for Php 500.00. So Tom and I scrambled to find loose change and small bills to pay off the Php 271.00.

Strike two. After the delivery guy left we brought the food upstairs. That’s when we noticed there weren’t any plastic utensils! Kahit straw for my Pearl Cooler! Nakaka-tanga… ang ginamit ko ay spoon para sa Pearl Cooler.

Strike three. May tip pa yung delivery guy.

So kung magpapa-delivereach kayo, beware!
