I Support Barack Obama (Vlog 1×22)

Update 1: Vlog was featured on CNN iReport (Tuesday 12:30 mn, Manila Time).  Thanks CNN for giving viewers around the world the chance to speak out!

Update 2: Congratulations Senator Barack Obama, the next President of the United States!  Our love and prayers for the next administration!

For several months preceding the heat of the U.S. elections I had remained undecided.  Though majority of my views align with the Democratic party, I did not want to jump onto the Obama bandwagon just yet.  I did not want to fall for charisma and powerful rhetoric.

Title Card for Vlog 1x22

But after digging through the profiles of McCain and Obama, I’ve realized that it’s not just experience which the former brags about.  What America needs today is Change.  The kind of positive change that reverberates around the world and reaches even our island nation of the Philippines.

Change has been the core of Obama’s campaign from the start.  In this episode I take one of Obama’s best speeches and flash the camera the matching viewpoints I share with him.

(No video? Watch this vlog on YouTube.)

Let’s elect Senator Barack Obama as the next President of the United States!

I saw your video on CNN.com and was very moved by it. I too support Obama and voted for him earlier today.

The amount of support by the rest of the world has been uplifting, and reminds me a little of the love felt from everyone in the aftermath of 9/11.

I hope one day the U.S. can return to a place of respect in the eyes of the rest of the world. Our current government may be crazy, but I can assure you, they don’t represent the feelings of most Americans.

    Cheers!

Hello K, that was very beautifully said. Thank you for voting and supporting Barack Obama. I also hope the world will have a restored view of what America was meant to be– the land of liberty and justice. :)

Obama really knows how to inspire people. His election as the first African-American President of the U.S. will inspire not just the Afro-American people, but other marginalized figures like Asians, Hispanics, and those that have never seemed to have fit in before. :)
